PINEVILLE, Mo. -- Authorities said an Arkansas toddler drowned after falling into a river in southwest Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said 1-year-old Anthony Lemus-Peraza of Rogers was pronounced dead Wednesday at a Kansas City hospital.
The boy was flown to the hospital after he fell into the Elk River on Sunday night while playing about 3 miles west of the McDonald County town of Pineville.
