St. Edward Catholic Church was the setting at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 11, for the marriage of Megan Nicole Gardner and Evan Reed Adams. Monsignor Lawrence Frederick officiated.

Parents of the bride are Sara and Price Gardner of Roland. Her grandparents are Betty and John Milton Gardner, Donna and William Kremer and the late Bettye Kremer Gamble, all of Little Rock.

The bridegroom is the son of Lisa Adams and Gayla and Randy Adams, all of Little Rock. He is the grandson of the late Charlotte Camp Reed, the late Milton Reed, the late Joseph Adams, the late Georgia Adams and Frederick Raef, all of Little Rock.

The ceremony was illuminated by dozens of antique candelabra and decorated with arrangements of garden roses, peonies, hydrangeas and gardenias in shades of white and soft green. Music was by organist Phillip Quick.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory gown of English net embellished with lace appliques. The sleeveless fitted bodice had an illusion sweetheart neckline and the mermaid-style skirt and chapel train had a scalloped hem embellished with a wide band of Alencon lace. She carried a bouquet of garden roses, peonies, gardenias, hydrangeas and stock.

Serving as maid of honor was Stephanie Brooke Hummel of Brooklyn, N.Y. Bridesmaids were Erin Adams, sister of the bridegroom, and Savannah Fletcher and Amy Fletcher, cousins of the bride, all of Little Rock; Gabriela Morris of St. Louis; Bethany Doss of Memphis; and Grace Bornhoft of Kansas City, Mo. They wore pistachio chiffon gowns and carried bouquets similar to the bride's.

Jonathon Davis Lowery of Bryant served as best man. Groomsmen were Joshua Lowery of Bryant, cousin of the bridegroom; Ryan MacLeod, Quinn Gasaway and David Gardner, brother of the bride, all of Little Rock; James Jacob of Fayetteville; and Samuel Segraves of Washington.

A reception at the Capital Hotel followed the ceremony. Guest tables alternated tall and low arrangements of peonies, garden roses, stock, hydrangeas and orchids in shades of white, soft pink and green. Long guest tables held mercury glass candle stands and garlands of silver dollar eucalyptus with white roses, stephanotis and gardenias. The patio was decorated with lanterns and gardenia topiaries. Music was by the band Canvas.

The bride graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Kappa Delta. She will begin her third year at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy in the fall.

The bridegroom has a bachelor's degree in business administration from UA and is an area logistics manager at Maverick Transportation.

The couple will live in Little Rock after a wedding trip to St. Lucia.
