Man sought in Little Rock's 16th homicide has no plans to surrender, police say

The Little Rock Police Department on Wednesday released more information regarding a man sought in the city’s 16th homicide this year, which occurred Monday afternoon.

Cortez Antonio Bone, 34, already had an active warrant for absconding at the time authorities issued a warrant for his arrest this week on multiple charges in the death of 3̶7̶-̶y̶e̶a̶r̶-̶o̶l̶d̶ 36-year-old* Marlon Walker, police said.

Walker was found Monday lying in the front yard at 9700 Collie Drive and was transported to Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, where he was pronounced dead, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette previously reported.

Little Rock police said in a statement that Bone, considered armed and dangerous, has told authorities he will not surrender. He faces charges of first-degree murder and possession of firearms by a certain person, according to authorities.

Bone is described as standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. He has been seen in the 2800 block of Bishop Street and in areas of southwest Little Rock, authorities said.
