Little Rock police are looking for the man who attempted to rob a comic book store at gunpoint Monday afternoon, a spokesman for the police department said.

A white man entered The Comic Book Store on 9307 Treasure Hill Road in Little Rock at 2:40 p.m. and spent several minutes looking through comic books before he walked up to the cashier and said, "I hate to do this, but I have a gun, and I want a box of Magic cards for my son's birthday," according to a police report.

The clerk offered to give him a pack of cards, but he went to the exit and said, "Don't call police" before fleeing on foot without any property, Lt. Steven McClanahan said.

The man is described as standing 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds. Police also said he had brown hair and bad teeth.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Little Rock Police Department at (501) 404-3030.
