A 28-year-old Paragould man died in a two-vehicle crash Monday in Jonesboro, the Arkansas State Police said.
Eric Pate was making a left turn out of a parking lot on Highland Drive just east of Bittle Street from the south about 5:45 a.m. when his 2005 Pontiac G6 was struck by a 2016 Freightliner tractor-trailer rig that was traveling west on Highland.
Pate was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The weather was clear but the road was wet at the time of the crash.
