An Ashdown man was killed after losing control of his car north of Texarkana in foggy conditions Friday morning, according to Arkansas State Police.
In a preliminary report, state police said Matthew T. Harris, 21, was traveling northbound on U.S. 71 about 5:54 a.m. when his 1996 Toyota Camry left the highway and overturned, causing him to be ejected from the car.
Harris was pronounced dead at the scene about 6:50 a.m. by Miller County Coroner Joshua Hawkins.
The death was the 98th reported by state police on an Arkansas road so far this year, according to preliminary figures.
