30 tenants displaced after Hot Springs apartment fire

A Hot Springs apartment fire destroyed an entire building and displaced an estimated 30 tenants Sunday morning, according to the Garland County Department of Emergency Management.

Building J of the Forrest Hill Apartments, 201 S. Rogers Road, caught fire at about 11:45 a.m. Easter morning, and the building was soon engulfed in flames, said Bo Robertson, emergency management director.

The roof collapsed, and the entire building, about 20 units, was destroyed.

No cause had been identified as of Sunday evening, Robertson said.

Workers from the American Red Cross were on scene Sunday to assist those impacted by the blaze, Robertson added.
