BANKING

Stone Bank announced that Kelly Williams has joined the bank as vice president and White Hall market manager.

Amy Whitehead, director of the University of Central Arkansas’ Center for Community and Economic Development, was named to the Community Development Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.

EDUCATION

The Lyon College Board of Trustees awarded tenure to two professors, Scott Lien and Jeremy Chapman, and promoted them from assistant professors to associate professors. Philip Cavalier’s job title changed from vice president for academic services to provost.

FINANCIAL

Bear State Financial announced James M. “Matt” Machen has been named president of the bank and Sherri Billings was named senior executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief accounting officer of the company and bank.

Amanda Loesch, marketing director at Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C., was appointed to the Legal Marketing Association Southeastern Chapter’s board of directors.

Wade McCune was named creative director at CJRW.

KUAR 89.1, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s public radio station, announced Bobby Ampezzan will lead the newly created Natural State News as the project’s managing editor.

MEDICAL

Seven people were added to the advisory board for the Fay W. Boozman College of Public Health at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences for three-year terms. They are Melinda Faubel, director of external affairs for AT&T Arkansas and the AT&T Foundation liasion for Arkansas; Steve Jones, senior vice president and director of water services for Garver; Jayme Mayo, a physician assistant; Martha Jane Murray, an architect and director of the Clinton Climate Initiative’s Home Energy Affordability Loan program; Denver Peacock, an attorney and principal of The Peacock Group; David Rainey, a retired educator and state legislator; and Greg Ramon, chief executive officer at Little Rock Wastewater.

Dr. Allyson Weedn Moulton joined Sparks Health System as a surgeon. She will work at Surgical Associates of Fort Smith.

Katie Hall joined Arkansas Lighthouse for the Blind as manager of marketing and development.

Conway Corp announced the promotion of Clint Cook from senior head-end technician to head-end engineer.
