Little Rock tobacco store hold up nets cash, cigarettes

A man took cash and cigarettes in an armed holdup at a Little Rock tobacco store Saturday, police reported.

Officers were called at 7:58 p.m. to Tobacco Superstore at 8414 Geyer Springs Road. Employees said a man had walked in the business, pulled out a gun and walked straight to the cash register without saying a word, according to a police report.

The man reportedly took an undisclosed amount of money and at least four cartons of Newport cigarettes. He was last seen fleeing south from the business.

No injuries were reported.

Police searched the area but made no arrests.

The robber is described as black, 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds. He wore a black shirt, black pants, black shoes and a tan jacket with a hood.
