Road work to shut Jacksonville lanes

Work associated with the future widening of a section of U.S. 67/167 will require a moving lane closure today through Friday on the frontage roads, T.P. White and John Harden drives, in Jacksonville, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said.

Drilling into the shoulder in several locations along T.P. White and John Harden between Main Street and Vandenberg Boulevard will require the outside lane of each frontage road to be closed daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting.

Traffic will be controlled using traffic drums, arrow boards, message boards and warning signs, the department said. The work is in preparation for the future widening of U.S. 67 between Jacksonville and Cabot.
