Heading to job, man held up at gunpoint in Little Rock

A Little Rock man was robbed at gunpoint moments after he stepped outside his home to go to work Monday, police reported.

Gerald Walthall, 48, told police he left his home at 1812 W. 15th St. about 6:30 p.m., according to a police report. That's when a man with a gun shoved him to the ground and took his wallet. The robber then ran to a white Chevrolet Impala nearby and drove away.

Walthall did not report any injuries.

Police said the robber dropped a cellphone at the scene and it was taken in as evidence.

The robber is described as black and 6 feet tall. He wore a white T-shirt and black jeans.

No arrests had been made Tuesday.
