Little Rock pharmacy robbed by man with knife

Police were investigating after a man robbed a Little Rock pharmacy at knifepoint Thursday.

Officers responded about 11 a.m. to a call from Walgreens at 3710 S. University Ave. Employees said a man had walked inside the business and asked about buying cigarettes, then pulled out a knife and demanded money, according to a police incident report. The man placed an unknown amount of cash and cigarettes into a black trash bag, then fled on foot.

A Walgreens employee told police that the robber tried to stab her in the leg, but missed. No injuries were reported.

Police said surveillance cameras recorded the holdup.

Officers searched the area but made no arrests.

The robber is described as black, 6-foot-1, 160 pounds and between the ages of 25 and 35. He wore dark bluejeans, white shoes, a gray long-sleeve shirt and a camouflage hat.
