DANIEL WRIGHT (AAA Reds) got his first victory for the Louisville Bats on Monday. Wright pitched a complete-game three-hitter and had eight strikeouts in a 4-1 victory over Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Pa. (AAA Yankees). The Railriders' lone run was unearned. Wright, 25, who was called up to Louisville from Class AA Pensacola, Fla., on May 10, is 3-0 this season with an 0.79 ERA in 10 combined appearances. He's allowed 5 runs -- 3 earned -- on 17 hits with 5 walks and 32 strikeouts. He was scheduled to face Scranton/Wilkes-Barre again Saturday night, but was scratched from his start. During Saturday's broadcast of the Reds' home game against the Seattle Mariners, radio broadcaster Marty Brennaman said Wright could likely pitch for the Reds on Tuesday night to replace rookie Tim Adleman, who was placed on the disabled list Friday with a grade-one left oblique strain, when the Reds face the Los Angeles Dodgers in Los Angeles.

News and notes

• Pitcher Mike Bolsinger (Arkansas Razorbacks) was recalled by the Los Angeles Dodgers from his rehab assignment with Class AAA Oklahoma City on Wednesday to make a spot start against the Los Angeles Angels. Bolsinger allowed 3 runs in 41/3 innings of Wednesday's 8-1 loss to the Angels and was sent back to Oklahoma City on Thursday.

• Infielder Matt Reynolds (Razorbacks) was called up by the New York Mets from Class AAA Las Vegas on Tuesday. Reynolds, who batted .238 in 33 games for Las Vegas this season, has played in 3 games for the Mets and is a combined 0 for 4 at the plate. Despite playing shortstop with the 51s, he has platooned at third base for the Mets while David Wright battles an ailing back. Reynolds, 25, was the last player cut from the Mets' 25-man roster prior to the season. He was added to the Mets' roster for the National League Championship Series and World Series last season as a replacement for Ruben Tejada, who suffered a broken leg in the NL division series, but he had not officially appeared in a major-league game until Tuesday.

• Outfielder Andrew Bentintendi (Razorbacks) was promoted to Class AA Portland, Maine, from High-A Salem, Va., on May 16. Benintendi batted .341 in 34 games for Salem this season, but has struggled so far with Portland. He's 2 for 15 (.133) with the Sea Dogs in 4 games with 2 RBI and 5 strikeouts. Benintendi went 2 for 3 with a double, single, walk and 2 RBI on Tuesday in a 5-3 Portland victory over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (AA Blue Jays).

• Outfielder Forrestt Allday (Central Arkansas) was promoted by the Los Angeles Angels to Class A Inland Empire in San Bernardino, Calif., on April 23. He was originally assigned to the Angels' rookie team in Orem, Utah, on April 12 after being released by the Boston Red Sox organization. Allday played in 5 games for the 66ers before suffering a leg injury and was placed on the disabled list May 1. Team officials said Allday is at the Angels' spring training facility in Tempe, Ariz., rehabilitating the injury and that there is no timetable for his return.
