Faculty and students present their best pieces at the Arkansas Arts Center Museum School Sale, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the State Fairgrounds Hall of Industry, 2600 Howard St., Little Rock. The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra will inaugurate the new Robinson Center Performance Hall -- after two years of Robinson Center reconstruction -- with concerts titled "Return to Robinson," 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday, Markham Street and Broadway, Little Rock. Conductor Philip Mann has programmed a quartet of sonic showpieces, including Erich Korngold's Violin Concerto with soloist Philippe Quint and concluding with an expanded 83-piece orchestra (plus organ and recorded nightingale) performing Ottorino Respighi's The Pines of Rome. "True Faith, True Light: The Devotional Art of Ed Stilley," focusing on a farmer who said he received a call from God to make instruments and give them to children, opens Friday at the Old State House Museum, 300 W. Markham St., Little Rock, with a 6-8 p.m. reception. Fayetteville-based folk duo Still on the Hill will perform on some of Stilley's handcrafted instruments. The exhibit includes 28 of Stilley's instruments plus X-rays, recordings, tools (including the Blessed Router) and photos of Stilley at his rural Ozarks homestead. The Lysander Piano Trio -- Itamar Zorman, violin; Michael Katz, cello; and Lisa Stepanova, piano -- performs at 7:30 p.m. today at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 310 W. 17th St., Little Rock, part of the Chamber Music Society of Little Rock's season. The program for the concert, titled "The Eternal Song": Sergei Rachmaninoff's Elegiac Trio No. 1 in g minor, Antonin Dvorak's Piano Trio No. 4 in e minor, "Dumky," op.90; and Episodi e canto perpetuo, Latvian composer Peteris Vasks' homage to Olivier Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time.
