Where I live: I live in Little Rock's Kingwood neighborhood just west of Cammack Village with my two sons, Philip (a sophomore at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville), and William (a junior at Little Rock Central High School). Our latest is a rescued wire fox terrier mix named Bella who is proving to be a very good addition to our family.

Occupation: I work for the birds! I am the development manager for Audubon Arkansas.

My favorite space is: This soon to be screened-in back porch.

Why? I have long wanted a screened-in space so I can enjoy the Arkansas outdoors without the Arkansas mosquitoes! I plan to spend 24/7 here (please don't tell my boss) with ceiling fans in the summer and a heater in the winter. Rain on the roof will make for great sleeping weather as well and, of course, all of the birds I will be able to hear when I am out here.

If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: Well, I am having it built just like I want it, but my next plan is to add some native plants for my backyard garden. As a matter of fact, the Little Rock Audubon Center will be hosting an open house Oct. 11 which will include the launch of Audubon's new Plants for Birds program.
