MASS OF THE CHILDREN — The combined choirs of Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, along with a chamber orchestra, will present “Mass of the Children” by John Rutter at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Saint Joseph in Fayetteville during All Souls’ Day Mass. Commissioned by the American Choral Directors Association, “Mass of the Children” includes an integral role for a children’s choir within a traditional Latin Mass sung by the adult choir. 409-5679 for more. GROTESQUE HALLOWEEN — Backspace is teaming up with Art Amiss and The Shed to present the second annual Grotesque Art and Music show on Saturday. Art is from 7 to 9 p.m. at Backspace and the Shed, and includes performance, video, live painting and more. Music starts at 9 p.m., featuring local acts May the Peace of the Sea Be With You, Witchsister and The Chads. Costumes are encouraged. EARTH PROTECTORS BENEFIT — Musicians, artists and vendors will come together from 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday at West Luck Ridge in Greenland to hold a fundraising event in opposition of pipelines in North Dakota and in Arkansas. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Standing Rock and Sacred Stone Camps of North Dakota and to the local Arkansas Diamond Pipeline opposition.
