BANKING

Arvest Bank announced the promotion of Jim Cargill to the position of president and chief executive officer for the bank's central Arkansas market.

Don Hale has been named senior vice president of marketing for Citizens Bank. Tim Byers was named vice president of marketing.

FINANCIAL

The Central Arkansas Chapter of the Risk Management Association announced its board of directors and officers for 2016-17. Chapter officers are: Marcus Guinn, president; Gary Edwards, vice president; Colbey Frisbee, second vice president; Kristen Brown, treasurer; Robert Smith, secretary; and David Marks, past president. Chapter board members are: Jackson Balentine, Daniel J. Beck, Erin Brogdon, Aaron Brooks, Ryan Carrus, David Coleman, Heather Drew, Adam Gilbert, Christine Miller, Karen Davidson, Phillip Partain, Ronnie Peters and Steven Sperry.

MEDICAL

Dr. Shelly Gibbs joined the CHI St. Vincent Women's Clinic in Little Rock.

Dr. Thurston Bauer joined the CHI St. Vincent Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic.

Dr. Tonya Phillips and Dr. Janice Keating joined Sparks Clinic Neurology in Fort Smith.

Sparks Clinic announced Dr. Sarah Duda has joined its walk-in clinic.

Tony Hardage has been named as the assistant vice president and administrator at Baptist Health Medical Center in Arkadelphia.

Dr. W. James Chon has been named medical director of the renal transplant program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

The Arkansas Center for Health Improvement announced three new employees: Laci Richards, administrative analyst; Micheal Knox, assistant director for population health; and Kate Chagnon, technical editor and writer.

Unity Health announced that family medicine physician Dr. Michael North joined the staff at Family Practice Associates.

NONPROFIT

The Arkansas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners Association announced it has contracted with Rodney Baker of Capitol Concepts for governmental affairs and association management services.

Charlie Wagener has been selected as AARP Arkansas' state president.
