Man approached by 2 while fueling, robbed at gunpoint in Little Rock, police say

A man was robbed of his car at gunpoint by two people early Tuesday in Little Rock, according to police.

The 23-year-old victim told authorities that two individuals approached him on foot as he was fueling a green 2003 Kia Rio around 4:15 a.m. at the Shell gas station at 1200 S. University Ave.

When the man got back into the car, the two robbers, described as white men, also entered the vehicle, with one pointing a gun at him, police said.

“Make this easy or we can do it the hard way,” one of the robbers told the victim.

The robbers then told the man to drive to a nearby hotel, where he was ordered to exit the car, according to a report.

The two fled in the vehicle northbound on South University Avenue before turning eastbound onto an Interstate 630 on-ramp, according to the report.

According to authorities, the man's driver's license, debit card and around $60 in cash were also stolen.

A 54-year-old woman who owned the car was also listed in the report as a victim.

Police said the man was unable to provide a detailed description of the robbers and the gun used during the robbery.
