Fincher Foundation sets 5K, other runs

The Kendrick Fincher Hydration Celebration will be held Saturday, May 13 at Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Rogers.

The 19th annual event includes a 5K, toddler trot and youth run. It is a free event that emphasizes the benefits of proper hydration and beginning exercise early in life.

Youth runners from kindergarten through 8th grade will receive a free T-shirt and a goodie-bag filled with assorted products and samples. The school that has the most participants in the youth run will be awarded a $150 gift certificate from Best Sports in Rogers.

The Toddler Trot is a 50-yard dash open to children ages two years old through pre-school.

The 5K course circles Pinnacle Hills Promenade and team participation is encouraged. Traveling trophies will be awarded to the under 19 and adult fastest team. Additional awards will be given for overall top three male / female finishers, top three finishers by age group, most participants, and best team spirit. The U19 Fastest Team will also receive $250 cash award from Best Sign Group payable to the organization represented.

The event will also include a mascot dash and other family-fun activities.

Nebraska Club plans Golf 'n Burger scramble

The Bella Vista Nebraska Club is planning a Golf 'n Burgers golf scramble for Sunday, April 30.

The golf will be a four-person scramble with a shotgun start at 3:30 p.m. Reservations should be made with Ron Krolikowski, 2 Wendron Lane, Bella Vista 72714.

The burgers will follow at 6:30 p.m. at Loch Lomond Pavillion. The cost is $12 per person. Reservations are due on April 23 and should be sent to K.B. and Sue Smith, 9 Windsor Lane, Bella Vista 72715.
