CULTURE CLUB

Pair from Brazil this year's Rotary Club student visitors

Each summer, the Rotary Club of Little Rock, Club 99, hosts a cultural exchange by inviting two college students from another country to visit Arkansas for a few weeks. This year, Andre Vinicius de Santana Oliveira and Eduardo Rodrigues Silva of Brazil are the Ottenheimer International Young Adult Project participants. Rotary hosted a drop-in reception at its office July 18 to greet the two young men.

The two will experience American and Arkansas culture as they take turns staying in the homes of Rotarians, visiting museums, touring local sites and attending social events. At the end of their stay in Arkansas, they will travel to Washington, where they will tour the nation's capital and the White House.

The Ottenheimer International Young Adult Project was established by Club 99 in 1948 by a grant from member Gus Ottenheimer.
