As Season 12 of Syfy's award-winning series Face Off ends, another makeup effects series will be beginning. The finale of Face Off: Divide and Conquer airs at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Hosted by actress McKenzie Westmore, the competition whittles down contestants who turn out a variety of special effects projects each week until a grand prize winner is selected.
The spinoff show, Game Face, premieres at 9. The seven-episode series is based on Face Off, but with a twist. Each week former Face Off stars will go head-to-head, with multiple makeup revelations and eliminations through each episode. Every week four artists will race against the clock to complete three challenges until one artist walks away with the $10,000 prize.
Game Face is also hosted by Westmore. Judges are Academy Award-winners Ve Neill (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Hunger Games) and Rick Baker (Star Wars, The Exorcist). There will also be a panel of rotating guest judges that include industry veterans and Face Off judges Glenn Hetrick (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Spider-Man 3) and Neville Page (Avatar, Prometheus).
