Goldi, The pet of the week

Goldi is our pet of the week. She gets her name from her gorgeous gold eyes that contrast beautifully with her dark silver-gray fur. She is a very sociable cat that loves to talk and will be good company for her new owner. When Goldi arrived at the shelter, she was very thin. She's healthy and doing well now but still needs to gain some weight. She is looking for a home where she will get lots of tender loving care.

Canine Close-Up

Cassidy is a beagle/hound mix that loves people and dogs alike. She's active and outgoing but has a sweet, calm disposition. She knows how to sit and is ready to learn new commands. Cassidy does have heartworms, but the condition is curable, and treatment will be provided at no cost to her adoptive family.

Lulu is a bright-eyed Labrador/shepherd mix. She enjoys the outdoors and will be a great companion for someone who wants to take her along on hikes and to play outside regularly. Lulu gets along with other dogs, unless it's feeding time. She would do best in a home where she is an only dog.

Ringo is a gorgeous golden Labrador-shepherd mix that enjoys playing with other dogs but also is eager to be with people. He is looking for a forever home where he gets lots of attention, walks and outside playtime. Ringo is heartworm positive, but treatment will be covered at no cost to his new owner.

Featured Felines

Jenna is a sleek gray tabby. She's young -- about a year and a half old -- and arrived at the shelter with her kittens earlier this summer. She's pretty, playful and friendly, and she is ready for a forever home now that her kittens have been adopted.

George is a darling black and white tuxedo kitten. He's mischievous and frisky, but he also loves cuddles and will happily sit on a lap and purr. George arrived at the shelter with his mother when he was tiny. He's about 3 months old now and is ready for a home of his own.

Goldi and friends can be adopted through Little Rock Animal Village. More information is available at (501) 376-3067 and www.friendsoftheanimalvillage.org.
