Parts of Sycamore Street in Fayetteville to close for utility work

FAYETTEVILLE -- Portions along Sycamore Street will be closed over a 12-weeks for utility work starting Thursday.

Construction will be done in three phases through Nov. 15 between College and Gregg avenues. Road closings will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Detours will be marked and residents will be allowed access as needed.

Steel plates and temporary concrete will cover the construction work during evenings and Sundays.

The anticipated three-phase schedule is Aug. 30 to Sept. 30, Oct. 1 to Nov. 1 and Nov. 1 to Nov. 14.
