Sobering statistic

By Mike Masterson

This article was published December 5, 2017 at 4:30 a.m.

I realize there are statistics and there are "damn statistics." The ones I discovered about illiteracy in these United States left me beyond surprised.

Mike, interesting column with regards to Bob Ross. Yes, Ross was wrong and has been in the past. The problem with your chastisement of him is that you also have not fully vetted your information when presented in your column, leading to myself and others to provide the actual facts. I would suggest you turn inward and think about what you have said, especially when you write about national issues. Your sources are some of the loosest in the media industry with regards to facts.

About "reading ability".....I notice in on-line debates with conservatives, that an amazing number of them link to videos---not reading materials of any kind---when asked for sources of information.

Awfully ironic for extremely biased Mike to weep and wail about the "bias" of someone making a minor timing mistake of a couple of months between candidate and president elect, followed by using "seeking common ground" to describe violating the Logan Act and undermining American foreign policy.

At least we know gohogs can spell. That's about it, but it is an accomplishment. Contribute anything of value to the conversation here? Nah, but at least the spelling is correct.

Minor?! 23 Cal what are you smoking.? that minor mistake you said that Rag Ross did is the difference between legal and illegal. presidents elect and their transition teams have the right to reach out to other heads of governments so they can it the ground running... however, not so being a candidate.

It's ironic that Masterson continues to rant against mainstream bias, especially considering he's ranting about an erroneous report which was CORRECTED within a few hours. That is what reputable mainstream news outlets do whenever they make mistakes. They CORRECT them and they PUNISH their employees who made the mistakes. And that's what extremely biased partisan non-mainstream sources fail to do. They often fabricate stories with so many misleading half truths and blatant lies that fact checkers can't keep up with them all. Extreme partisan sources sometimes REWARD people by paying them for fabricating stories full of blatant lies which are disseminated and go viral on social media.
Has Masterson ever complained in his columns about the extremely partisan and UNCORRECTED bias which fuels that?
