Golden Globe winner Dylan McDermott has been known for a variety of noncomedic roles on shows like Stalker, Hostages, American Horror Story and The Practice, but he's stepping outside the box to play Captain Dave on the new sitcom LA to Vegas. It premieres at 8 p.m. Tuesday on Fox.
The adult-themed workplace comedy revolves around an airline crew and the eccentric passengers who, every weekend, take a round-trip flight from Los Angeles to Las Vegas with hopes of coming back winners. Along the way the unlikely dreamers go from being strangers on a plane to an unconventional family, of sorts.
Along with McDermott, the series stars Peter Stormare (The Big Lebowski), Kim Matula (UnREAL), Ed Weeks (The Mindy Project) Nathan Lee Graham (The Comeback) and Olivia Macklin (The Young Pope).
