Artist wins best in show

Julie Hayes of Siloam Springs won best of show at the inaugural Plein Air Red Fern show June 15-17 in Tahlequah, Okla. She received a share of a $2,500 purse.

Auxiliary honors volunteers

The Mercy Hospital Berryville Auxiliary gathered June 13 at the Carroll Electric Community Room to receive reports, elect and install officers for 2017-18 as well as present awards. Deanna Davidson, administrative assistant, auxiliary liaison and gift shop chair, received the MHBA auxiliary member of the year award. Juanita Baker was presented with an honorary life membership. Forty-two auxiliary members received time awards for more than 20,550 hours donated this past year.

New elected officers installed included Joy McKinney, president-elect; Leoria Brewer, secretary; and Pat Armer, president.
