Word comes from the Right Coast, more specifically Washington, D.C., that the president of the United States--and commander-in-chief of its armed forces--is considering somebody from Arkansas to be secretary of the Army. Specifically, he goes by Tim Griffin, the current lieutenant governor.
Our considered editorial opinion: Hoo-rah!
Tim Griffin is a lieutenant colonel in the Reserves, is currently working on a degree from the War College, and is a veteran of the Iraq war. Not only that, but he's been a congressman and served on the Armed Services committee. As secretary of the Army, he'd be a natural fit.
Tim Griffin, secretary of the Army. It has a nice ring to it.
