GM to stop selling vehicles in India, exit S. Africa setup

DETROIT -- General Motors said Thursday that it plans to stop selling all cars in India and shed its operations in South Africa by the end of this year, a move that continues the automaker's retreat from parts of the world where its profits are lagging so it can focus on profitable regions.
