Police say they have arrested an Arkansas man accused of sexually assaulting a woman sent to do maintenance on his apartment.
When Springdale police officers arrived at Strawberry Meadows Apartments, 910 S. Powell St., around 4:20 p.m. Oct. 25, the victim told them that a tenant approached her while she was working on the door locks.
According to a police report, the tenant, identified as 38-year-old Zepty TonTon, grabbed her by the shoulders and moved his groin area along her backside.
Police said TonTon confirmed the victim’s account during a Nov. 1 interview, adding that he thought "the victim was OK with what he did."
The Springdale resident, who was reportedly arrested Wednesday, faces a second-degree sexual assault charge.
On Friday, he remained at Washington County jail in lieu of $20,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 4.
