An Arkansas man was arrested after attacking a Wal-Mart store manager and trying to steal her vehicle outside the business, police say.

Bryan Earl Taylor, 40, of Scott was taken into custody around 5 a.m. Tuesday at the retailer’s 4019 Central Ave. store in Hot Springs, the Sentinel-Record reported.

The store’s manager told authorities that a report of a man checking door handles in the Wal-Mart parking lot prompted her to check her own vehicle.

While she was outside, Taylor approached, police said. That prompted the manager to ask if Taylor needed help.

“Yeah, I’m gonna take your f✳✳✳✳✳✳ car,” Taylor replied, according to police.

The newspaper, citing information from police, said Taylor tackled the manager to the ground and attempted to remove a key ring from her belt loop.

She then called for help, at which point another employee came to her aid and held Taylor until police arrived, a probable cause affidavit states.
