A 74-year-old Harrison man was arrested Thursday on 30 counts of distributing, possessing or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child, authorities said.
Jerome Allan Yester was booked into the Boone County jail, where he was no longer listed as an inmate Friday.
Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge said in a statement that Yester was arrested after an investigation by her office's cyber-crimes unit. Rutledge said investigators learned that a computer at Yester's residence had been used to download sexually explicit material involving children.
