A 70-year-old man died after his vehicle overturned into a ditch Saturday afternoon, according to a report from Arkansas State Police.
Police said Earl Carr was driving south on Arkansas 187 near its intersection with Butler Road in Carroll County, about 3 miles south of Beaver, when his right rear tire went off the road, causing his 2010 Honda to fall into a ditch shortly after 4:40 p.m.
The man attempted to turn back onto the road, police said, but his vehicle overturned and fell back into the ditch.
Carr, who was from Purcell, Okla., suffered fatal injuries in the wreck, according to the report.
Conditions at the time of the crash were reportedly clear and dry.
At least 384 people have died on Arkansas roads this year, according to preliminary crash data.
