A Little Rock man collected $300,000 off a scratch-off ticket Monday morning, according to a news release from the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery.

Buster Mullins told lottery officials that he was looking for a Money Multiplier ticket when he went into Geyer Springs Food Mart & Gas at 7520 Geyer Springs Road. The Little Rock store was out of that ticket, so he paid $10 for a $300,000 Fortune instant ticket instead.

By 10 a.m., he had claimed his $300,000 check.

“My wife doesn’t even know yet,” he said in the release. “She’ll be in for a nice surprise later today.”

The retailer will receive a 1 percent commission, or $3,000, for selling the winning ticket.
