A Little Rock eatery was burglarized early Thursday by thieves who broke through the front door and made off with a $2 bill, according to a police report.

Officers responded to an alarm at Ali Baba Mediterranean Restaurant and Market at 3400 S. University Ave. shortly after midnight Wednesday to find that the front doors had been broken.

The only thing missing was a $2 bill, the owner reportedly told police.

The owner, a 31-year-old man, told officers that he had been notified that the business's electricity had been turned off about 45 minutes before the alarm sounded, disabling the security camera. Officers reportedly found one smeared fingerprint on the electric meter and two prints on the control panel to the alarm system.

A 16-year-old boy told police he saw two men running from the area — one heading south and one heading north — several minutes before officers arrived, the report said.

Police named no suspects, and no arrests had been made at the time of the report.
