PEA RIDGE -- Police arrested Joseph Todd, 63, on Tuesday in connection with a fire at 1801 Hayden Road on Oct. 11, according to a police news release.

"The residence was a complete loss," Detective Brandon Davis said.

The homeowner, who wasn't identified, told police he argued with Todd that morning and it was possible Todd was involved with the fire.

Todd, of 186 Greene St., initially denied any involvement, according to the news release. However, other witnesses led police back to Todd.

Witnesses said a vehicle like Todd's was at the residence just prior to the fire and others saw him between 11:20 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at the home. Video footage showed key evidence in the case, according to the news release.

Todd was in the Benton County Jail without bond set Wednesday.
