Hikers explore Lost Bridge Trail
Hill and Dale Hiking Club will circle the Lost Bridge Trail on Friday. The hike is five miles, moderate difficulty.
All hikers are welcome. Meet at the trailhead at 9 a.m. at Lost Bridge North park. Bring a sack lunch.
The group will hike Sept. 20 on the Chinquapin Trail at Big Sugar Creek State Park near Pineville, Mo. The hike is 3.2 miles with an optional two-mile extension.

Park sets owl prowl
Pea Ridge National Military Park will host an owl prowl at 8:15 p.m. Saturday starting at the visitor center.
Jessie Ballard, park guide, will talk about the owls of Arkansas. The group will then head out into the park to call barred owls in close.

Hobbs plans sunset cruises
Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area hosts sunset cruises on Beaver Lake through October.
Cruises are set for Thursday and Sunday, and Sept. 21 and 24. October dates are Oct. 5, 12, 15, 19, 26 and 29.
Trips depart from Rocky Branch Marina. Times vary. Cost is $10 for adults or $5 for children 6-12, plus tax.

Lake cleanup features prizes
The annual Beaver Lake Cleanup is Sept. 30 at all areas of the lake.
Army Corps of Engineers will distribute trash bags are various recreation areas starting at 8 a.m. Lunch and prize drawings begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Prairie Creek park Grand Shelter.
