More than 90 people hunkered down in a central Arkansas parking lot hoping to claim a year of free meals from a new Chick-fil-A restaurant opening Thursday, according to a news release.

Chicken enthusiasts set up shop at 113 Commons Drive in Maumelle, where they will wait for the next 24 hours for a chance to earn free meals, the release said.

The Arkansas operator of the store, Carter Tucker, will award the prize — 52 free meals, or one a week for a year — to the first 100 people in line, the release said. It's a common promotion at Chick-fil-A openings.

The location will be the 33rd Chick-fil-A operating in Arkansas and the 11th in the central Arkansas area, the release said.

The restaurant opens at 6 a.m. Thursday.
