Woman accused of lying about shooting in Little Rock to get quick police response

A woman who lied about a shooting to get a quick response from Little Rock police was arrested Friday, police reported.

Officers were called at 10:16 p.m. to a Wendy's restaurant at 3923 S. University Ave. They spoke to Amorette Navolt, 36, who said she'd called 911 because "she thought Wendy's was going to be robbed," according to an arrest report.

Navolt told police that she'd called 911 a second time and reported a shooting at the business because "officers weren't responding fast enough" to her first call, according to the report.

Police said there was no shooting and no robbery.

Navolt was charged with making a false alarm or complaint or reporting false information. She was also charged with disorderly conduct.
