Privilege licenses' renewals past due

Businesses in North Little Rock that haven't renewed their business privilege licenses for this year will be assessed a penalty of 25 percent of their total due, according to a notice Friday from the North Little Rock city clerk and collector's office.

All business licenses to be renewed, and new businesses operating since Jan. 1, were required to have obtained a 2018 license by the end of March. Existing businesses that are delinquent for previous years are subject to a 50 percent penalty on the total due.

Businesses without a city license risk a citation and court appearance for operating in violation of city code.

More information on licenses or fees is available from the city clerk and collector's office at (501) 975-8617.
