Smile Empty Soul, along with opening acts Co-Op and Eight Eyes, will perform at 8 p.m. today at the Rev Room in Little Rock. Admission is $13.

North Mississippi Allstars, along with opening act Cody Dickinson & Friends, will perform at 9 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $22 in advance, $25 the day of the show.

Based in Hernando, Miss., the band's nucleus is brothers Cody (drums, piano, synth bass, programming and vocals) and Luther (guitar, vocals) Dickinson, the sons of Little Rock-born musician and noted producer Jim Dickinson, a major figure on the Memphis music scene until his death in August 2009.

The band has released 19 albums since its debut, Shimmy She Wobble, in 2000. The latest release, Prayer for Peace, came out in 2017.

Mom and Pop's Old Fashioned Christmas will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. Admission is $5.

The Mom and Pop show is a musical comedy variety show geared to preschool and early elementary age children and their parents. In 2016, the act had a No. 1 song, "Take Care," on the Kids Place Live "13 under 13 Countdown" and their debut, self-titled CD won a Parents' Choice Silver Honor.

Mom and Pop is the brainchild of husband and wife songwriters Bobby Matthews and Virginia Ralph, who for 20 years had separate careers -- he as an early elementary art teacher and she as a teaching artist and touring performer in a children's theater company. They now have two daughters.

Cory Branan will perform at 9:30 p.m. Friday. Admission is $10.

Branan, a Memphis-born, Nashville, Tenn., resident, is a former bartender at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis. Inspired by the songs of John Prine, he began writing his own music and released a debut album, The Hell You Say, on Memphis label Madjack Records in 2002.

After two albums on Madjack, he signed to Bloodshot Records, which has released his next three CDs, the latest of which, Adios, came out in 2017. Branan has called it a death album, as well as a "loser's survival kit."

Drexel & The Spirit, along with Isaac Alexander and Kevin Kerby, will perform at 9 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $7.

Drexel Baker III, who was born in Alexandria, La., grew up in Little Rock and learned to play drums. He joined rock trio Go Fast in the late 1990s and then moved to New York where he released a debut album, The Bloody Transylvania Street Machine, in 2005, following up with Green Sky in 2008 and Strange Mystery in 2013. His latest, Flashback City, came out Dec. 7.

The Legendary Temptations, along with opening act Rodney Block, will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday in the First Financial Music Hall at The Griffin. Tickets are $85, $69.50, $59.50 and $49.50.

Originally known as The Temptations, The Legendary Temptations' current lineup includes original member, tenor/baritone Otis Williams, 76, who joined in 1961 when the group began churning out hit singles, beginning in 1964 with the No. 11 "The Way You Do the Things You Do" and their first No. 1 hit, "My Girl." There were 15 more top 10 hits through 1991.

The other current members, according to an Aug. 13 story in Rolling Stone magazine, are baritone Terry Weeks (a member since 1997), tenor Larry Braggs (a member since 2016 who was lead singer of Tower of Power from 2000-2013), bass Willie Greene (a member since 2016 who had toured with former Temptations Richard Street and Ali-Ollie Woodson) and tenor Ron Tyson (a member since 1983)
