An Arkansas meat processing plant was destroyed in a fire Tuesday night, the owner said.

Steve Goode, who operates Cypress Valley Meat Co., wrote in a Facebook post that the shop located at 259 Wayne Walker Road in Romance had burned down. He also thanked the volunteer fire departments that responded for trying to save the building.

The custom beef-, deer- and pig-meat processing company also has locations in Vilonia and Pottsville.
