SPRINGDALE -- Work on three Interstate 49 bridges and overpasses in Johnson and Springdale requires night lane closings all week.
Weather permitting, crews will perform maintenance activities on bridges and overpasses at Clear Creek, south of Exit 69, Johnson Mill Boulevard, Exit 69, and U.S. 412, Exit 72, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation officials. The inside and center lanes will be closed for the work. The northbound lanes will be closed first, and once the work is complete, crews will close the southbound lanes.
The overnight closings will be in effect through Friday morning. This work was previously scheduled for Wednesday through Saturday, but was rescheduled because of weather.
• Northbound I-49 lane closings will occur between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
• Southbound I-49 lane closings will occur between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m.
