PERRYVILLE 53, JESSIEVILLE 51, OT Senior Garrison Branscum scored 21 points as the Mustangs (27-4) outlasted the Lions (24-7) in the championship game of the Class 3A Region 3 tournament in Perryville. Senior Alex Burleson scored 18 points to pace Jessieville.
SHERIDAN 74, EL DORADO 61 Senior Tyler Cleveland poured in 39 points as the Yellowjackets (15-14) trounced the Wildcats (13-17) in the third-place game of the 6A-West tournament in Sheridan. Junior Matt White added 20 points for Sheridan, which outscored El Dorado by a combined 43-29 in the second and third quarters.
VALLEY VIEW 47, NETTLETON 46 Garrett Barley’s putback at the buzzer allowed the Blazers (16-13) to defeat the Raiders (21-8) in the championship game of the 5A-East tournament in Batesville. Sophomore Travis Graf and Senior Joe Waleszonia each scored 13 points to lead Valley View. Junior Jay Campbell scored 12 points for Nettleton.
GIRLS
COUNTY LINE 45, MOUNT IDA 43, OT Senior Alexis Dear and sophomore Martha Neumeier each scored 16 points as the Lady Indians (18-15) downed the Lady Lions (9-10) in the consolation game of the Class 1A Region 4 tournament in Dierks.
GREENWOOD 64, RUSSELLVILLE 54 Freshman Shea Goodwin scored 14 points and made three steals as the Lady Bulldogs (20-9) captured the 6A-West tournament championship over the Lady Cyclones (15-13) in Greenwood. The Lady Bulldogs overcame a 26-point, 12-rebound performance from Anna Meyers.
QUITMAN 71, JOHNSON COUNTY WEST-SIDE 50 Behind 20 points from sophomore Lucy Holland, the Lady Bulldogs (34-3) turned back the Lady Rebels (26-8) in the championship game of the Class 2A West/Central Region. Junior Nicki Hooten added 14 and senior Aspen Johnson 13 for Quitman.
