BENTONVILLE — A Springdale woman faces charges in connection with allegations of sexual abuse involving a 14-year-old boy.
Charity Allen-Grace, 36, is free on $40,000 bond after her arrest earlier this month on felony charges of sexual assault and sexual indecency with a child.
Siloam Springs police began investigating after receiving a report from the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division.
A 14-year-old boy reported that he was visiting a friend at Allen-Grace’s home in Siloam Springs, and she would walk around in her underwear and inappropriately touch him, according to the affidavit.
The teen also reported that Allen-Grace would have sexual contact with herself in front of him and his friend, according to the affidavit.
The teen said the incidents happened six months to a year ago, but he also knew Allen-Grace from his school, Ozark Guidance Center’s school in Siloam Springs, according to the affidavit. The teen said Allen-Grace was a teacher at the school.
Steven Hinds, the vice president of philanthropy and development at Ozark Guidance, declined to comment on Allen-Grace’s arrest.
Allen-Grace’s arraignment is scheduled for 8 a.m. March 26 in Circuit Judge Brad Karren’s court.
