Two Missourians were arrested Wednesday after a carjacking outside an Arkansas grocery store, the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported.

A woman told Rogers police a man with a handgun approached her while she was in her vehicle in the parking lot of 10 Box Cost-Plus, 103 N. Dixieland Road, and forced her to get out, according to the newspaper.

The man reportedly got in the vehicle and drove north on Dixieland Road, where police officers saw it and began a pursuit. The carjacker hit another vehicle at the intersection with Olive Street and continued south, the newspaper reported.

Police were able to arrest the pair — driver Donald Joseph Yost, 41, of Wentworth, Mo.; and passenger Nicole Madeline Shannon, 29, of Joplin, Mo. — in the area of Blue Hill Road.

Records show they both remained at the Benton County jail Wednesday night with bail not yet set. They face charges that include aggravated robbery and theft of property.

They are scheduled to appear in court April 9.
