The yearly -- and growing -- bash hosted Dec. 28 by Eric McDaniel and Dr. Chad Rodgers at their Hillcrest Home drew some of the city's most high-profile physicians, lawyers, bankers, organization heads and politicians and consisted of the usual trappings one has come to expect at the event: assorted pizzas, desserts and drinks. A chance to mingle if one could find a spot in packed living areas, kitchen and back room; guests also had the option of warming themselves before the outdoor fireplace on the patio. And yes, table dancing ... later in the evening, after the crowd thinned. The music was cranked up, the famous round wooden coffee table was brought forth, and hosts and guests climbed aboard to display their rug-cutting skills, two, three, or, well, a bunch at a time.
