Bentonville seeks input on Bella Vista Lake Park

BENTONVILLE -- The Parks and Recreation Department will host a public meeting to discuss the future of Bella Vista Lake Park at 6 p.m. Thursday.

The meeting will be held at the Community Center at 1101 S.W. Citizens Circle.

City officials will gather feedback and ideas for potential recreation amenities for the park, according to a news release. Attendees will participate in brainstorming sessions for the park's design.

A subcommittee meeting will take place at 1 p.m. at the Community Center. This meeting will include members of city staff, City Council, and members of Friends of Little Sugar Creek, a nonprofit organization that advocates for stream restoration.

The City Council voted in October to move forward with a master plan for the 132 acres that make up Bella Vista Lake Park. This project, funded with a grant from the Walton Family Foundation, evaluates the park property and researches multiple design possibilities for a renovation project.
