FAYETTEVILLE -- The man who died Monday in a house fire has been identified as Andrew McClarrinon, 45, according to the Washington County sheriff's office.
McClarrinon was the owner of the 2,446-square-foot house at 17886 Clear Water Road, northwest of Fayetteville, said Kelly Cantrell, a sheriff's spokesman.
Ashley Smith, 25, of Fayetteville was injured in the fire and taken to Washington Regional Medical Center.
Smith was in fair condition as of Wednesday afternoon, hospital spokesman Gina Maddox said.
