U.S. 412 corridor topic of meetings

The Arkansas Department of Transportation will hold three public meetings later this month to discuss a planning study on improving the U.S. 412 corridor between Oklahoma and Missouri.

The corridor runs through parts of Baxter, Benton, Boone, Carroll, Fulton, Greene, Lawrence, Madison, Marion, Randolph, Sharp and Washington counties.

The meeting dates and locations are:

• July 17 in the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church, 104 W. Third St. in Yellville.

• July 18 in the community meeting room of the Ash Flat Community Center, 20 Arnhart St. in Ash Flat.

• July 19 in the conference room of the Carroll Electric building, 5056 U.S. 412B in Huntsville.

All meetings will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and the presentations will be identical, the department said. The public is invited to visit any time during the scheduled times to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
