Police: North Little Rock man allows pair to test drive his car, jumps out of moving vehicle after threats

A 32-year-old North Little Rock man said his car was stolen Thursday by two people he allowed to test drive the vehicle, according to a Little Rock police report.

The victim told authorities that a female contacted him after seeing his Facebook ad about selling his 2013 Hyundai Elantra. The North Little Rock resident met with her and another person Thursday morning in the 9800 block of Little Rock's Chicot Road so she could see the car in person, the report states.

During a test drive, the three reportedly traveled to a nearby bank, but the 32-year-old said he didn't withdraw any money because the would-be buyer was "acting suspicious."

Police said she told the victim she had a gun and was going to take the vehicle. She added that she would get her brother to shoot the 32-year-old, the report states.

The North Little Rock man told officers he jumped out of the car as it was traveling on Chicot Road because he was "afraid for his life." Police noted he had several bruises and his shirt was dirty.

Authorities reportedly later found the car in the 9900 block of Eva Lane.

No suspects were named, and no arrests had been made at the time of the report.
